Meet the Talent
JANE LYNCH (Victoria Ratchford)
This funny lady has carved out a successful career in Hollywood as a writer, actress and comedian. Lynch has appeared in numerous feature films, including "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Best in Show" and "A Mighty Wind." Her television credits include the Lifetime Original Movie "In the Best Interest of the Children," the ABC medical comedy "MDs" and the TNT movie "The Big Time." Her extensive theater background involved touring with the Second City comedy troupe and playing Carol Brady in "The Real Live Brady Bunch." She also wrote and starred in the award-winning play "Oh Sister, My Sister."
VICTORIA RATCHFORD (Jane Lynch)
Victoria Ratchford is the powerful force behind Lovespring International. As owner and CEO, Victoria mans the entire operation, making sure her team of romance professionals is on top of their game. A widow, Victoria is a sucker for old-fashioned romance and still believes in a little thing called "chemistry." That's why she started the company — she wanted to keep traditional matchmaking alive. That and the fact that owning a company means a huge tax deduction. Victoria doesn't believe that people can find their soul mates online and thinks only her service can offer the real deal.
SAM PANCAKE (Burke Kristopher)
This accomplished actor has amassed numerous film and television credits including "Win a Date With Tad Hamilton!" "Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde," "Gia," "Kitchen Confidential," "Arrested Development," "Will & Grace," "Life With Bonnie," "Charmed," "The West Wing," "Friends," "Yes, Dear," "The King of Queens" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
BURKE KRISTOPHER (Sam Pancake)
Burke Kristopher is one of Lovespring International's devoted relationship counselors and believes he's the really the spring in Lovespring. Along with his counterpart, Lydia, Burke is there to make sure that the company's clients are finding the true love they deserve. In his personal life, Burke is married. And when it comes to his job, Burke is really hands-on — especially when it comes to the male clientele.
JENNIFER ELISE COX (Tiffany Riley Clarke)
Cox captured her breakout role as Jan Brady in the 1995 comedy "The Brady Bunch Movie" and reprised it in the 1996 sequel, "A Very Brady Sequel." She also appeared in "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," "Edtv," "Dropping Out," "The Independent," "Bewitched" and "Hard Pill." Among her television credits are "CSI: NY," "Six Feet Under," "My Wife and Kids," "Good Morning Miami," "Sex and the City," "Will & Grace," "Clueless," "Murphy Brown" and "Reno 911!"
TIFFANY RILEY CLARKE (Jennifer Elise Cox)
Tiffany Riley Clarke is Lovespring International's Executive Assistant. Not to be confused with a secretary or receptionist — it really ticks her off when coworkers refer to her with those bottom-feeder titles. When she's not answering phones, filing papers and judging clients as they walk through the door, Tiffany is busy applying her makeup and complaining that people simply ask way too much of her. This self-proclaimed Buddhist isn't afraid to speak her mind, and usually she has a lot of great things to say about herself.
WENDI McLENDON-COVEY (Lydia Mayhew)
McClendon-Covey stars as Deputy Clementine Johnson in the Comedy Central series "Reno 911!" This summer, she will be seen in the Fox feature film "Reno 911: Miami" and "Closing Escrow." She recently completed the independent feature "Cook-Off!" which she produced, cowrote and costarred in. McLendon-Covey was also the cowriter of sketch shows "We're Blonde and Pretty — What Happened to You?" and "Girls Who Say Yes." She has appeared in numerous television specials for E! and VH-1, and is a member of the Los Angeles–based improv comedy troupe "The Groundlings."
LYDIA MAYHEW (Wendi McLendon-Covey)
Lydia Mayhew is one of Lovespring International's two dedicated relationship counselors. And when she's not bickering with her counterpart, Burke, she's busy making special love connections. This romance expert prides herself on her innate ability to find a mate for just about any lonely soul. After all, she found true love for herself and has been in a committed relationship for almost 20 years. Sure, he hasn't left his wife yet, but he will...eventually.
JACK PLOTNICK (Steve Morris)
Plotnick can be seen in the New Line comedy "Balls of Fire" later this year. He is currently the voice of Xandir P. Whifflebottom in the Comedy Central series "Drawn Together." He appeared in the feature films "Adam & Steve," "Meet the Fockers" and "Down With Love." Plotnick was a regular on the Showtime series "Rude Awakening" and the critically acclaimed Fox television series "Action," starring Jay Mohr. Plotnick has made numerous television guest appearances on shows such as "Reno 911!" "Joan of Arcadia," "Complete Savages," "Dawson's Creek," "NYPD Blue" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
DR. STEVE MORRIS (Jack Plotnick)
Dr. Steve Morris is the resident psychologist at Lovespring International. Every credible matchmaking service should have a certified expert and Dr. Steve is the real deal. After receiving a "degree" in Mexico, he started his own bustling psychiatric practice. This shrink found his way to Lovespring after a few harassment charges (some still pending in court), which contributed to the loss of his license. Now he's dedicated to helping singles build meaningful relationships. Dr. Steve's foolproof method? Treat the lady clients as if they were his lovers.
MYSTRO CLARK (Alex Odom)
Clark has appeared on numerous television series including "The Shield," "One on One," "That's Life," "Grown Ups," "Pacific Blue" and "The Gregory Hines Show." His film credits include "Storm Catcher," "Chairman of the Board," "White Men Can't Jump" and "Candyman." Also a noted comedian, Clark has appeared on HBO's "Def Comedy Jam," "The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show," "The Apollo Comedy Hour," "BET's Comicview" and "An Evening at the Improv."
ALEX ODOM (Mystro Clark)
Alex Odom is the man behind the lens, a.k.a. Lovespring International's official videographer. Alex likes to think of himself as a cross between Denzel and Spielberg. Don't be fooled by the day job — shooting lonely singles' profiles pays the bills, but really he's an action-movie maker on the verge of being discovered — or so he says. And when it comes to his skills with the camera, Alex assures clients he can perform magic. His motto: "You may walk in a six, but you'll come out looking like a 10."
ERIC McCORMACK (Executive Producer)
McCormack is best known for his Emmy® Award–winning portrayal of Will Truman on NBC's "Will & Grace," which ended its eight-year run this May. This spring also marks the release of his film "The Sisters," for which he won Best Actor at Atlanta's Dixie Film Festival. McCormack's short film "Pirates" made the short list for Oscar® consideration in 2002, and he's preparing to shoot his feature script "What You Wish For" this summer. In 2004, with producing partner Michael Forman, he formed Big Cattle Productions, which has projects in development at NBC, UPN and USA, as well as "Lovespring" for Lifetime. This May, he will star in the stage play "Some Girl(s)" by Neil LaBute in New York City.
