Edna Babish (Betty Garrett)
When we first meet Edna Babish, she is the widowed manager of Laverne and Shirley's apartment building. A bit cynical, she's always trying to find ways to get her often overly optimistic tenants to look at things more realistically. Edna eventually falls in love with Laverne's father, Frank, and they move to Los Angeles and open their own western bar, Cowboy Bill's.
Frank DeFazio (Phil Foster)
Frank is Laverne's adoring pop. After his wife died, he raised Laverne on his own, trying his hardest to do right by his little girl. He may not be book-smart, but he is smart in matters of the heart and always looks out for his "Little Muffin." He is also the owner of the Pizza Bowl — Laverne, Shirley and Co.'s favorite hangout.
