Eddie Mekka (Carmine "The Big Ragu" Ragusa)
Trained as an opera singer and a dancer, Eddie Mekka was active in both opera and theater in his home state of Massachusetts before moving to Hollywood in the 1970s. His role on "Laverne & Shirley" was his first as a TV regular, but he later appeared on a variety of other shows, including "Guiding Light," "Moonlighting," "Love Boat," "Sunset Beach" and "The Jamie Foxx Show." Films he has appeared in include "Beaches," "A League of Their Own" and "Catch Me If You Can."
