Sheridan Moves Up the "Housewives" Ladder

With Marcia Cross officially on maternity leave (after having the whole production crew filming in her L.A. home), it's time for Nicollette Sheridan's character, Edie Britt, to take center stage on Wisteria Lane. "Nicollette has been bumped up to front and center," executive producer Marc Cherry told the New York Post. "There was a line in the pilot episode two years ago about how Edie had a son, and he's finally going to come and stay with her."

Cherry went on to say that Edie will care for the eight-year-old boy by "being her own kind of mommy." Cast and crew recently began shooting their first episode without Cross. (Actually, here's a fun fact — according to the Post, the episode is from the perspective of the men who live on Wisteria Lane and is narrated by Rex, a character who was killed off last year.) Let's see if Ms. Britt has what it takes to keep the fans happy!
